Louisiana licenses contractors through the State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC). HVAC, plumbing, and electrical all flow through this single board, with annual renewals and a $380 starting fee. Louisiana also accepts the NASCLA exam for general contracting credentials.
Louisiana and Georgia have an HVAC reciprocity agreement — Georgia Conditioned Air Contractors can apply by reciprocity in Louisiana (and vice versa) without retaking the full trade exam. The Louisiana Business & Law exam is still required.
TradesIQ tracks Louisiana license renewals, CE hours, bonds, and insurance certificates in one dashboard — with automated reminders before anything lapses.
