Idaho licenses all three trades through the Division of Occupational & Professional Licenses (DOPL). The state runs a 3-year renewal cycle with relatively low initial fees (~$135) but varying CE expectations between trades.
A 2023 rule change eliminated the CE requirement for Idaho plumbers — they now renew without CE. HVAC contractors still need 16 hours per 3-year cycle and electricians 24 hours, so the requirement isn't uniform across trades.
TradesIQ tracks Idaho license renewals, CE hours, bonds, and insurance certificates in one dashboard — with automated reminders before anything lapses.
